Here’s a sneak peek into how digital transformation has revamped the way workforce is managed at Uniglobe ATB, with Nitin Marwah, Head – Human Resource in conversation with Team PeopleStrong.
Team PeopleStrong: What were the key asks of Business and Employees at UNIGLOBE ATB from HR? How did HR Tech fall into the scheme of things?
Nitin Marwah: As an organization that has a huge workforce of travel experts, the employees as well as the businesses had three major requirements, which are the 3C’s of success – Connect | Communicate | Collaborate. We at UNIGLOBE ATB perceived the need for a single and a unified (connected) platform, an HR technology solution for employees to communicate and collaborate in a simplified manner. We believed a cloud HR software would lead to speedy worklife transactions enhancing overall employee productivity.
Along with this, business and leadership teams felt the need for a consolidated view of the data required for crucial business decisions – like employee productivity management, hiring and engaging HiPo candidates.
PeopleStrong Alt, a powerful SaaS HR software in India, has helped us up our Digital HR game. We now have a unified digital interface for both employees and Business Leaders. It has simplified our lives by giving us access to our data on our handsets, anytime and anywhere.
PS – How has the experience been so far?
NM – It has certainly been a great experience for all of us at UNIGLOBE ATB. We are happy to report a high adoption rate amongst our employees. Mobile app adoption on Day 1 in Uniglobe ATB was reported to be 61% and we reached 85% within 15 days. This clearly indicates a high acceptance rate among the employees for HR technology solutions.
What are the top 3-4 asks that you had from SaaS HR Technology Solutions?
We looked for 3 major things:
Unified interface: We wanted to keep things simple and ensure that our employees do not have to access multiple systems for worklife management. Hence, we wanted a product suite which would cover the entire nine yards of an employee’s organizational journey.
Employee experience: This was a key process “disruption” for us. We wanted to provide our employees with a mobile-first experience, so that managing an HR transaction is not considered a dreaded task and they feel empowered to manage it on their own rather than depending on HR teams. Hence, we wanted an HR technology solution which could also provide us with exceptional experience.
Data access at the right Time: We wanted everyone at UNIGLOBE ATB to have access to data at all times for expedited decision making.
What’s next in this digital HR journey?
Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a bigger part of our lives. Today organizations are targeting intelligent assistants, also known as chatbots, or computer algorithms designed to simulate human conversations. This would be the next journey that we as an organization are going to embark upon.
