While India is full of HR services firms, two friends from the HR industry, Pankaj Bansal and Shelly Singh, felt that none of the HR solution and services companies could ensure a simple HR cycle and personalised employee experience.
“HR space in the last decade was very unorganised and governed primarily by about 40,000 consultants, who specialised in providing services limited to particular HR sub-functions,” says Bansal, co-founder and CEO of PeopleStrong. The duo decided to build a cloud-based, modular, easy-to-use technology for workforce, which is scalable for firms of any size or complexity and helps enterprises assist wide range of users, be it employees, managers, HR teams or CXOs, to experience work in a completely different way.
Fuelled by mobile apps, analytics, chatbots, and a focus on user-centric HR, the duo launched a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company PeopleStrong in 2005, which fully automates HR processes for enterprises by taking their HR to the cloud. The start-up’s mobile-first HR automation solution offers employee onboarding, employee life cycle management, payroll and compliance management and analytics.
The company offers solutions such as PeopleStrong Alt which comprises of Alt Recruit, end-to-end recruitment solution; Alt Worklife, an employee life cycle management solution; Alt Analytics, the HR analytics solution targeted towards strategic and decision making functions. It also offers cloud-based mobile app Alt Worklife, which enables simplified process from on-boarding to exit HR process and allows employee to manage their HR related queries and work via the app.
The company recently launched Jinie, a HR Chatbot in its mobile app, which provides conversational interface to the employees. PeopleStrong, whose backers include Lumis Partners, HDFC Holdings, The HR Fund, and AAA Global Ventures, is clocking year-on-year growth of 60%. It is present across 40 major cities in India, along with global footprint through its partners spread across APAC, Middle-East, Australia, Europe, and America.
Bansal says, “PeopleStrong has 175 clients, which includes Mahindra & Mahindra, HCL Infosystems, Schneider Electric, IndiGo Airlines, HDFC Life, Hewlett Packard, Snapdeal and Zomato.”
According to the co-founder, there are a lot of companies who have partnered with PeopleStrong in order to shift the human resource administration method to a whole new level, with momentous paybacks for employees by enhancing and improving their HR experience. “Some of the companies like VLCC, Mydentist, Pearson, Bank Bazaar, FreshDesk, Aditya Birla Financial Service Group and many more who have implemented SaaS HR solutions,” he adds.
