Pankaj Bansal is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PeopleStrong. Having observed the unorganized and non-integrated HR industry in India during his professional journey, Pankaj felt the need to create an entity that could effectively manage the complete employee life cycle, simultaneously ensuring a satisfied employee experience for its clients. At PeopleStrong, he is responsible for building strategic partnerships and managing the overall growth of the company, both in Indian and international markets.
A visionary, Pankaj is passionate about technology and truly believes that HR will take the leap into the next orbit by embracing technology. With this thought, he has led the team to develop PeopleStrong Alt, an on demand technology product that aims to simplify work life for its users.
Prior to establishing PeopleStrong in 2005, Pankaj worked with the Aricent Group, a global innovation and technology service company (erstwhile Hughes Software Systems), where he was a part of the founding team of the company’s business process outsourcing (BPO) division. He also worked with the engineering giant, SPML Infra Limited, and Housing and Urban Development Corporation. Pankaj’s stint at Withya Direct Inc., a digital media market company, as Chief Operating Officer acted as a turning point in his entrepreneurial journey.
An active member of Confederation of Indian Industries’ (CII’s) National Committee on Skills & Human Resources, Pankaj is currently Regional President – North at National HRD Network (NHRDN), a premier professional body for HR professionals in India. In his earlier stint with NHRDN, he served as the board member for almost a decade and has been one of youngest members in the network’s board. He is also the Non-Executive Director at The HR Fund, India’s first Venture Capital Fund, dedicated to investment in HR solutions companies, and Wheebox, the fastest growing talent assessment company in India.
Pankaj is a sought after speaker at various national, international forums and reputed business schools in India on wider HR management subjects including HR shared services, recruitment, HR technology and Analytics, besides entrepreneurship. Pankaj was recently awarded with Business Excellence and Innovative Best Practices – Academia Awards 2016 by New Delhi Institute of Management, New Delhi and the Visionary Entrepreneurship Award – 2015 by Jindal Global Business School, New Delhi.
Pankaj holds a Masters’ Degree in HR Management from University of Pune, and a Bachelors’ Degree in Entrepreneurship from Delhi University, Delhi. He is passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs and his other interests include Urdu poetry and subjects dealing with spirituality. Pankaj resides in Gurgaon with his wife and a son.
