MUMBAI: Indian chief executives are holding on to their corner offices longer than they used to. The rate of attrition of CEOs has significantly dropped in the past five years from what it was a decade ago.
Only 39% chief executive officers changed jobs in the last five years compared with 66% in 2006, according to a survey by human resources consultant and CXO search firm EMA Partners.
The reasons include more opportunities for growth and wealth creation in the private sector, lack of newer sectors to be explored, the impact of digital and the changing role of CEOs.
