Thanks for the wonderful response to our Q4 09-10 newsletter.

The last quarter was very special for PeopleStrong. In May 2010, we moved to our new corporate office at Infocity, Gurgaon. Following up on last quarter, we saw good growth in business this quarter as well; both top line and bottom line. We added new clients and increased scope of service with existing clients. All in all, it was a very good quarter for PeopleStrong. Below are some snippets of Q1 10-11.

PeopleStrong moved to its new corporate office at Infocity, Gurgaon. This new office has a capacity of more than 250 seats with multiple meeting rooms, dedicated training Infrastructure and best in class security and IT infrastructure. To commemorate this special occasion, an office warming event was organized at the new office. The event was attended by the about 50 guests; clients, investors, advisors and well-wishers of PeopleStrong from top Indian as well asMulti-National companies. Dr. Santrupt Mishra, Director, Aditya Birla Management Corporation was the special guest for the event.

RPO: The time has come: There are many contrasting views as to whether RPO is the model of recruitment for  the future or not. Pankaj Bansal & Sumit Jain in their article in PeopleMatter’s June Edition talk about the topic. The article discusses the typical problems that an employer faces in today’s changing times and how RPO might just be the ideal solution. The authors believe that RPO is like running a very effective Sales function which impacts both revenue as well as growth, however, takes a little time to mature. RPO, in fact, needs a 24x7 mindset!. Towards a Strong Employee Recognition Program: April 2010 issue of People Matters magazine featured an article titled 'Towards a Strong Employee Recognition Program' by Pankaj Bansal, Pankaj, in this article, discussed the importance of a reward and recognition program in an organization, especially in a time when we are coming out of the worst economic recession. The article discussed in detail as how to go about designing the reward system, whether it is a good idea to build the system in house or to outsource it and the typical challenges that are faced when a reward system is designed. Dr. Jim Miller has joined the board of PeopleStrong HR Services.  He is the Managing Director of New High Assets Limited, an investment fund, and Vice Chairman of Shandong Shenghua Television Information Services Limited, a media data services company. Dr. Miller, a Yale graduate with a PhD in Chinese from Princeton.

Anthony Mazza has joined the board of PeopleStrong HR Services.  He is the COO of AAA Ventures, LLC, a Chicago-area based venture capital firm. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt (1999) and he earned his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 1990.  Mr. Mazza is a member of the bars of the State and Federal Courts in New York (1991) and the United States Supreme Court (2004)

Our new clients are as varied as one of the biggest Pharmaceutical companies in the world, one of the biggest food companies in the world, a BSE-30 steel and power giant and large Indian IT/ITES company.

With a good pipeline of prospective clients, we look forward to a great Q2 10-11 as well.
