March 9, 2007
9th March 2007 was a red letter day for PeopleStrong HR Services. The entire team moved into its brand new, state-of-the-art facility primely located in Gurgaon’s central business district. The facility is a flawless blend of aesthetics and design, and is complete with door security systems, technical area, conference halls and meeting rooms. The modular design allows a seating of 60.
The inauguration was a well attended event by high profile guests from India’s corporate and HR world, who were welcomed and cheered by an enthusiastic and high spirited PeopleStrong team.
Coconut Surprise
The inauguration ceremony itself came as a tickling surprise to all present, especially the PS team itself. Everyone was expecting a traditional ribbon cutting by a chief guest, but when Pankaj bansal, CEO, PS, unveiled a big sack of coconuts and requested each member of his team to pick one and break it at the new facility’s threshold to herald the inauguration, everyone was ecstatic – not only by the joy of surprise, but because this gesture immediately struck an emotional chord in the hearts of all the PS team mates. On being asked later on why he chose to do this, Pankaj recalled “I pondered on what we should do to make this inauguration special – and Aadesh (Member of PS’s Board of Directors) asked me who mattered the most to PeopleStrong. I had my answer immediately – it was my team! So, it had to only be my entire team who would inaugurate the facility!” Bravo Pankaj – with the tremendous energy that this gesture created at the inauguration – it will be a pleasant memory for all present to recall!
Inspiring Words
Raman Roy, Chairman and MD of Quatrro BPO Solutions and father of India’s BPO Industry, held the audience in rapture by his 45 minute oration on PeopleStrong’s role in the future of the HRO industry globally. He highlighted PeopleStrong’s client centric delivery model as the path to success and envisioned that PeopleStrong would outgrow this facility within a matter of months!
Other speakers included Raja SV, EVP and Chief HR Officer for Quatrro BPO Solutions, Aadesh Goyal, VP – HR, Aricent Technologies, Pradnya Parasher, Director HR, Microsoft India, N S Rajan, Partner, Ernst & Young, Mr Dwarkanath from the NHRD Network, Varun Talwar, Chairman, Withya Group and Jyotirmoy Bose, Director HR, Times of India Group.
Spiritual Showerings
It was a moment when words cannot do justice in describing the feelings. Vandana Goyal, Teacher, Art of Living, created a ring of spiritual bliss when she asked the entire audience to hold each others’ hands and recite mantras from scriptures, at the same time conveying the blessings of HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The Zest to Stay at the Top
The team in particular went home with abundant feelings - feelings of sacrifice, courage, modesty, diligence and reckoning – to make PeopleStrong reach the pinnacle of success and to ensure that PeopleStrong’s standards and values and all that it stands for, become benchmarks in the HRO industry for times to come.
