Towards a Strong Employee Recognition ProgramThe April 2010 issue of People Matters magazine features an article titled 'Towards a Strong Employee Recognition Program' by Pankaj Bansal, Co-founder and CEO of PeopleStrong HR Services. Pankaj in this article discusses the importance of a reward and recognition program in an organization especially in a time when we are coming out of the worst economic recession. The article discusses in detail as how to go about designing the reward system, whether it is a good idea to build the system in house or to outsource it and the typical challenges that are faced when a reward system is designed.

The idea is to identify with accuracy and certainly, the people who are worthy of recognition in an organization and that is what a good reward and recognition system must strive for. Pankaj aptly concludes the article by a quotation from Abraham Lincoln, "Don't worry when you are not recognized, but strive to be worthy of recognition".
