Higher Employee Engagement Today Does Not Necessarily Reduce Attrition – A session by Aadesh Goyal @ the NASSCOM HR Forum

We are pleased to revive the NASSCOM HR Best Practices meeting for NCR companies on 29th August 2008 at the NASSCOM office. The session is on "Higher Employee Engagement today does not necessarily reduce Attrition” and the speaker is Aadesh Goyal, Chairman, PeopleStrong.
In Today’s scenario, Indian IT Industry is facing a fast-growth-high-opportunity. Human talent being at the epitome of business growth makes it imperative to deal with employee attrition. The Push–Pull factors are becoming more of the drivers of attrition in this new Indian economy. Interestingly, money isn’t the main reason why people leave. To control attrition both internal and external circle of influence needs to be managed. The focus of this session would be to understand-

  • Impact of employee attrition on organisations
  • Retention practices & its implementation

Many companies are starting to look at attrition in much greater detail, and this is helping. PeopleStrong has partnered with its clients to use its ADIEU framework, and has come up with some findings that could give some insights for everyone to build upon. This same framework is being used for the India Attrition Study, which has been together launched by Business Today and PeopleStrong, and would be published as the cover story in January2010. The meeting aims to promote awareness of the importance of HR Best Practices by engaging member companies and providing opportunities for information exchange within the software community. As part of this HR forum, member companies would gain knowledge of practical tools and ways to engage your organization in improving their HR practices. These sessions would be organised on the last Friday of the month and will be organised once in two months.

We would greatly appreciate your presence and participation for this session. We look forward to receiving your confirmation & seeing you on 29th August 2008. Please do forward this invite to your colleagues in the HR department. We look forward to meeting you.
